Andre Solomon Returns to Lead the Pelicans in 2026

RINCÓN, PR — The Pelicans organization, reigning champions of the Puerto Rico Collegiate Summer Baseball League, has officially announced the return of Andre Solomon as the team’s manager for the 2026 season.

Solomon was a key piece in last year’s championship run, guiding the team with disciplined leadership, a competitive mindset, and a strong focus on player development. His return comes at a decisive moment in his career, as he was recently named the new Head Coach at Delaware County Community College (DCCC), where he begins his mission to build a solid collegiate program and recruit emerging talent with genuine growth potential.

This is a big step in my career, and PRIBL’s summer program has always been a place where I can identify players with hunger, discipline, and projection,” Solomon said. “Coming back to the Pelicans —a championship team— allows me to continue developing talent and helping players who aspire to opportunities in college baseball.”

Carlos Núñez, president of PRIBL Baseball, highlighted the significance of Solomon’s return: “Andre is a proven leader. He not only guided the Pelicans to a championship, but now arrives with the experience and responsibility of launching a collegiate program as Head Coach. His presence here represents a real opportunity for players seeking visibility and direct access to college baseball.”

Throughout the season, Solomon will use his role in PRIBL to evaluate talent, provide direct mentorship, and strengthen the Pelicans’ identity as a franchise dedicated to the holistic development of the athlete.

With his return, the Pelicans prepare not only to defend their title but also to reinforce their position as one of the most effective exposure platforms for developing players in the Caribbean.

Players interested in joining the 2026 PRIBL season may complete the prospective player pre-registration form available at: https://www.priblbaseball.com/pre-registration, where they will be evaluated as potential candidates for next summer’s program.
