Taínos Name Mason Kellett as 2026 Manager

Aguadilla, Puerto Rico — The Puerto Rico Collegiate Summer Baseball League (PRCSBL) has officially announced the return of Mason Kellett as the manager of the Taínos for the 2026 season. With more than 25 years of combined experience in collegiate baseball, education, and player development, Kellett returns to Puerto Rico to lead a new competitive chapter for the organization.
Kellett has built an extensive coaching background across several programs in Oklahoma, including his current role as Head Baseball Coach and Special Education teacher at Henryetta Public Schools. His previous coaching experience includes positions at Achille Public Schools, Colbert Public School, and the Texoma Premier Baseball Academy. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Northeastern State University, an Associate’s Degree in Physical Education & Health, and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Special Education.
During his first tenure leading the Taínos, Kellett delivered immediate and measurable success:
1st place in the regular season
Championship runner-up
17 total players developed
14 advanced to college baseball
2 signed professional contracts
“Mason’s return brings leadership, continuity, and a deep understanding of the competitive standard we expect in the PRCSBL,” said Carlos Núñez, President of the PRCSBL. “He knows our culture and knows how to elevate the performance of every player.”
Kellett shared a personal statement highlighting his coaching philosophy:
“I coach with the belief that every kid deserves a coach who sees them, believes in them, and pushes them to be their best — not just as players, but as people. Baseball is a tool for teaching life lessons: working hard, overcoming failure, and being part of a team that depends on you.”
He also emphasized the impact Puerto Rico had on his growth as a coach and as a person:
“Coaching in Puerto Rico helped me grow not only as a coach but as a person. The players reminded me why I love coaching — watching them gain confidence, improve, and realize what they’re capable of.”
With his appointment finalized, Kellett will immediately begin building a 24-man roster for the upcoming season. Players interested in joining the Taínos may contact the league at info@priblbaseball.com, using the subject line “Team Taínos.”
The 2026 PRCSBL season begins in June and will feature college players and recently graduated high school prospects from the United States, Puerto Rico, Latin America, the Caribbean, and beyond, all seeking development and exposure opportunities with collegiate programs across the United States.
