PRIBL Announces Mental Health and Well-Being Program
RINCÓN, PR - In an effort to support the players holistically, PRIBL Baseball is proud to announce the launch of the new Mental Health and Well-Being Program, an initiative designed to provide essential tools for the personal and emotional development of athletes both on and off the field.
Carlos Núñez, president of PRIBL Baseball, shared this important initiative, emphasizing the organization's commitment to the well-being of its players. According to Núñez, "We want our athletes to have the resources they need to face not only the game's challenges but also the emotional and mental challenges they may encounter. This program reflects our mission to develop well-rounded athletes, ready to succeed in all aspects of life."
As part of this effort, some resources will be available immediately, such as access to confidential counseling. Additionally, PRIBL Baseball has partnered with Crisis Text Line, where athletes can text the word PRIBL to 741741 to connect with a trained Crisis Counselor.
The program includes immediate support, educational workshops, interactive resources, and specialized training for players, coaches, and staff. These resources will be available for the upcoming Summer League, offering an integrated approach that helps athletes address topics such as resilience, stress management, and emotional health. Coaches and staff will also receive training to identify and address potential mental health challenges among players, creating a safe and supportive environment.
This program will be a fundamental part of the Summer League experience for participants, enhancing their performance on the field and their preparedness for the challenges of daily life. By prioritizing mental health, PRIBL Baseball reaffirms its commitment to the comprehensive development of its athletes, setting a standard of excellence that goes beyond the sport.
