Olán Ortiz Returns as Manager for 2025 PRCSBL Season, Continuing Legacy of Player Development

RINCÓN, PR - PRIBL Baseball is thrilled to announce the return of Olán Ortiz as the manager of the Peregrinos de Hormigueros for the 2025 season of the Puerto Rico Collegiate Summer Baseball League (PRCSBL). Ortiz’s return is a significant milestone for the league and the development of baseball talent in Puerto Rico, where he has been a key figure since the league’s founding.

A Legacy of Impact

Olán Ortiz’s journey with PRIBL began in 2012 when he played in the league’s inaugural professional program. That same year, he signed with the Cafeteros de Yauco in Puerto Rico’s AA Baseball League, where he became known for his leadership on and off the field. Ortiz has been a cornerstone of PRCSBL’s success, helping establish it as one of the premier summer leagues for baseball prospects.

Throughout his career, Ortiz has mentored countless players and secured over 30 athletic scholarships for PRCSBL participants. His work has made a tangible difference in the lives of young athletes, helping them pursue their academic and athletic goals in the United States.

Ortiz’s role with PRCSBL complements his work as Head Coach at Bethany College, where he continues to mentor young athletes. Twelve of Ortiz’s players from Bethany College will join him in Puerto Rico this summer, further honing their skills in the PRCSBL while benefiting from his leadership.
